Great price on this classic book. My nephew loved it! It arrived on time and exactly as described.
This book is for older early readers. I've given my child Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? and Brown Bear. Brown Bear, What Do You See? and my son was able to follow without skipping pages. This book, on the other hand, is more wordy. My son is 19 months old and skips through some sentences and pages. Although, I do like that he learns some of the alphabet while I read this to him. Also, board books can definitely withstand baby and toddler tortures. My son likes to throw, bang, and smack this book on hard surfaces and sometimes people (not a fun experience). But even so, it has lasted 9 months with repairs here and there. I chose to repurchase this book because it is still one of my son's favorite books.A tip on making board books last longer - laminate with tape before giving it to your child. Make sure the bindings and edges are taped, because that is where it tends to tear most.
Be aware that this is not the complete, original Dr. Seuss book. It hasbeen shortened. I was extremely disappointed when my daughter wasreading it to her son and I realized the text had been changed. I wish I hadseen it before she started using it. I would have returned it.
When I worked as a toddler teacher , this was my favorite book to read to the children ! And theirs as well. I read it so often I have memorized the whole thing. Now I read it with my kids and frequently quote the letter rhymes when working on reading and writing with my kindergartner. The rhymes are extremely catchy and fun. It gets to a point with toddlers that they only have the attention span if it rhymes. I strongly prefer the board book version to the larger paper hard back version. The board book version is slightly shorter but in a way that makes it a more fun read.
Small board book.Colorful and not too much text that your baby gets sidetracked.Basically goes through all the alphabet letters with words that start with each letter.This is not the full size one. See size comparison to wipes.
Very small book
Our 2 year old loves the bright and early series, and we do too. They are sturdy board books, nice and short and are also a smaller size, all of which are so appealing to this age. And this book also introduces the alphabet! If you're looking for a gift for a younger child, you can't go wrong with this book. (*Obviously if you are looking for the original unabridged version, then you won't want this edition.)
This little book is fantastic! My daughter is a long way from reading it herself(she's only 2 months lol) but once she does, I think it will be a great source to learn her alphabet from. It's very short and sweet, but manages to go over "big" and "little" letters and follows through with examples that show the letter in a pronoun, etc., also like on the letter 'c', the example sentence shows hard c and soft c. Learning little things like that will help them excel when they start school!
This is a cute book and still look forward to reading it with my son. He love fish and is learning to count so i think this will be great. I love classic Dr Seuss. My problem is that the book is tiny. It is about half the size i expected, so that is kinda disappointing. But it does seem sturdy quality just very small
